    Description

The Broadway Melody (MGM, 1929). Swedish One Sheet (27.5" X 39.5"). Eric Rohman Artwork.
Dazzling is the only word to describe this poster. From noted Swedish artist Eric Rohman, comes this incredible Art Deco design for what would become the Best Picture of 1929. While the film was a sweet love story set amongst the world of Broadway and show business, it was more of a time capsule of the era. And this poster shows it all; the dancing show girls, the lights of the big city and the Great White Way and the men in top hats, living life to the fullest. It was released at the height of the Roaring Twenties and only four months before the Wall street crash that would bring the jazz age and the care-free lifestyle to an end. Other than a small tear along the left horizontal fold, and a small tear into the lower border on the left, this poster is in spectacular condition. Folded, Very Fine+.
