In 1943, war-weary moviegoers were treated to a vibrant 77-minute film packed with twenty musical numbers performed by some of the greatest musical talents in American history. It was a rarity at the time for African-American performers to be prominently featured on a major studio's one-sheet poster, which makes this particular poster incredibly special. Showcased in a beautifully illustrated stone litho are five of the era's finest talents: Lena Horne, Cab Calloway, Fats Waller, Katherine Dunham, and Bill "Bojangles" Robinson. This example has light fold wear, crossfold separations, edge chips, tears, and slight paper loss which have all been addressed by expert restoration. The linen has been trimmed to the border.
