    Pigskin Parade (20th Century Fox, 1936). One Sheet (27" X 41").
This film is best remembered as Judy Garland's first film appearance. The story told of a miscommunication in which Yale inadvertently invites the small Texas State University to play their football team for a benefit game. Coincidentally, TSU has just hired a new coach (Jack Haley) who arrives at the college with his wife (Patsy Kelly) just in time to hear the announcement that the team is to play Yale. The coach digs in to whip the team into shape, but just before the big game, the quarterback breaks his leg. All seems hopeless until they stumble across an Arkansas hillbilly (Stuart Erwin) who throws a football like no one they've ever seen. The only problem remaining is to figure a way to get the college to enroll the hillbilly so that he can take the place of the injured quarterback. The film also featured a young Betty Grable as seen on the poster. Judy plays the hillbilly Erwin's kid sister and steals the show when she sings "It's Love I'm After" and "Texas Tornado" The lovely stone litho offered here shows pinholes in the corners, edge wear with tears, a tear in the top border that extends into the title, cross fold separation, a chip in the bottom border, a gouge in the upper left and tape on the verso. Fine+.
