    Description

Flying Down to Rio (RKO, 1933). Title Lobby Card (11" X 14").
For the struggling studio RKO, Flying Down to Rio was just what it needed. Warner's and Busby Berkeley were quickly mastering the musical at that studio when RKO made this spectacular over-the-top production complete with dancing girls strapped onto the wings of airplanes. The film was a huge hit and it also featured a new and amazing dance team of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. This wonderful, rare and colorful title card features the new dance stars and the incredible flying sequence that continues to amaze audiences to this day. There are five pinholes in the borders and some light creasing in the lower left corner. There are a pair of diagonal creases in the lower right corner, the longest measuring three inches. These are very minor issues and don't distract from the beauty of this amazing title card. Very Fine.
