Description

    Musical Lot (MGM, 1930s-1940s). Trade Advertisements (5) (9" X 12", 9" X 12.5", 9" X 23.5", 12" X 17"). Miscellaneous. Musical.
Wonderfully illustrated folded trade advertisements for Reckless (1935), featuring lovely artwork of Jean Harlow and William Powell, The Clock (1945) and Till the Clouds Roll By (1946) both with the classic artwork of Jacques Kapralik; and two loose pages of advertisements from Du Barry Was a Lady (1943) with period set artwork by Esquire magazine artists Shermund and Howard Baer. Unrestored advertisements with bright color and a clean overall appearance. They may have general signs of use, such as slight fold and edge wear, pinholes, or very minor tears. The Reckless advertisement is brittle and has staining, chips and minor paper loss in the edges and near the fold. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Very Fine-.

Another major house refused the work stating it was too unique for the artist. Heritage saw that as an advantage!
