DescriptionMurders in the Rue Morgue (Universal, 1932). Rolled, Very Fine-. Swedish One Sheet (27.5" X 39.5").
An adaptation of Edgar Allen Poe's famous short story, this picture is one of the formative films in the great 1930s Golden Age of mad scientist movies. It was the second mad scientist film made during the sound era, following the massive success of Frankenstein, with Bela Lugosi playing the crazed Dr. Mirakle. Heritage is pleased to offer this dramatic stone litho poster for the first time, which only shows such peripheral issues as slight edge wear, light creases, a couple of moderate tears, and a few small chips. There is a minute gouge in the upper background that is braced with archival tape on the verso. Rolled, Very Fine-.
Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
