    Mrs. Miniver (MGM, 1942). Lobby Card Set of 8 (11" X 14").
An adored classic, Mrs. Miniver was inspired by a series of newspaper columns written by Jan Struther, about her experiences with family life and the slow encroachment of WWII in their idyllic world. Greer Garson and Walter Pidgeon star as the happily married parents of three children, who do their patriotic duty and in the process, rally millions of movie-goers to fight for Britain. This William Wyler production won a Best Picture Academy Award and five more, including one for stars Garson, Teresa Wright and director Wyler. It's been several years since Heritage has offered this complete set of lobbies. It was worth the wait, as only minor signs of handling can be noted. Title card: Australian censor stamp, staining and a tear in the left border, and pinholes and tiny surface paper in the borders. The scene cards may also show the same imperfections, and/or a scuff in the right border, smudging, and a top right corner bend. Fine+.
