    Description

    Moonshine (Paramount, 1918). One Sheet (28" X 41").
Fatty Arbuckle directed and starred in this comedy short that also boasts esteemed cast members Buster Keaton and Al St. John. Arbuckle is a U.S. revenue agent joined by his assistant (Keaton) sent to search high and low for the secret hideaway where mountain people distill illegal alcohol. This incredibly rare one sheet has never been offered before as it is the only known surviving example. It features Arbuckle and Alice Lake (who portrays a local mountain woman) in beautiful stone litho color. Professional restoration has addressed an area of missing paper at the top right, tears and missing paper in three of the borders that extends into the background, and vertical tears in the center of the poster. Very Good- on Linen.
