    Description

Monkey Business (Paramount, 1931). Very Good/Fine. Silk Screen Jumbo Window Card (20.75" X 26.75") Constantin Alajalov Artwork.
Norman Z. McLeod directs the zany antics of the Marx Brothers - Harpo, Chico, Groucho, and Zeppo - in one of their earliest films, which is the first one made exclusively for the screen. Onboard an ocean liner headed to New York, the brothers get involved with gangsters, women, puppet shows, and romance in one long crazy ride. Classic bits include the Maurice Chevalier disguise used by all four to get past customs, the brothers' rendition of "Sweet Adeline" while hiding in barrels of herring, and Harpo's bit with the Punch and Judy show. This rarely-seen jumbo window card features iconic artwork of the boys (including Zeppo), and colorful graphics done by artist Constantin Alajalov, who did much of the work for this release. It displays signs of age including edge wear, pinholes, minor tears, and paper lifts. There also are small chips, staining, and surface wear. There is a small hole and some surface loss with touchup in the "P" and "A" of "Paramount." There is a piece of linen tape on the verso bracing the small hole. Very Good/Fine.
