    Description

Monkey Business (Paramount, 1931). Swedish One Sheet (28" X 39.5") Gosta Aberg Artwork.
Norman Z. McLeod directs the zany antics of the Marx Brothers - Harpo, Chico, Groucho, and Zeppo - in one of their earliest films, which is the first one written exclusively for the screen. On board an ocean liner headed to New York, the brothers get involved with gangsters, women, puppet shows, and romance in one long crazy ride. Classic bits include the Maurice Chevalier disguise used by all four to get past customs, the brothers' rendition of "Sweet Adeline" while hiding in barrels of herring, and Harpo's bit with the Punch and Judy show. Posters from this beloved classic are very hard to come by and here we are offering this fantastic Swedish one sheet for the first time. Emblazoned with a bright stone litho image by Gosta Aberg, this well-preserved poster shows only slight edge wear, a minor tear in the right border, and some light writing bleedthrough in the left border. Folded, Very Fine+.

    Estimate: $1,500 - $3,000.
