Description

    Mockery (MGM, 1927). Insert (14" X 36").
The arrival of any original issue paper on a 1920's Lon Chaney Sr. title is always cause for celebration. This is the first poster we've had on this title that shows Chaney. He performed a fascinating "Jekyll and Hyde" dim-witted and harelipped Russian peasant named "Sergei" in love with "Countess Tatiana." His pure love turns to lust here in a pivotal scene from the film displayed on this insert. That's beautiful Barbara Bedford as the countess. You will remember her as "Alfalfa's Mom" from many Our Gang shorts. There is one pinhole in the top center, chips and tears in the borders and corners, and one inch has been trimmed from the white paper on the bottom border not affecting any image area. The poster has been professionally paperbacked and the central image area is very clean and crisp. Here's an opportunity to get a wonderful piece on one of the most important silent era stars. Good/Very Good on Paper.
