DescriptionMistinguett at the Mogador Theatre (1937). Fine- on European Linen. French Theater Grande (46" X 61.25") Jean-Dominique Van Cauleart Artwork.
An original poster of Mistinguett advertising her show "Ca c'est parisien" at the Theatre Mogador, in 1937. Mistinguett was a French actress and singer. She was at one time the highest-paid female entertainer in the world. For many years she was the star of the Folies Bergère and other nighclubs in Paris and also starred in many silent movies. Backed on chartex with no further restoration, this stone litho poster shows edge wear, creases, and minor tears. There is also mild surface rippling, faint staining, and toning. This poster has been trimmed by about 1" horizontally and 1.25" vertically, and the linen has been trimmed to the edges.
Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
