Description

Universal Campaign Books (Universal, 1940-41 & Serial Booklet 1941-1942 plus Small Campaign Booklet). Exhibitor Books (3) (Multiple Pages) (11.25" X 14") and (9.25" X 12").
A rare combination of exhibitor books for the 1940-1941 season from Universal Studios. Two of the books are done in a unique pagination arrangement, where when unfolded display 14" X 20" small posters! The first book is just for serials, with some very colorful poster pages for The Gang Busters, Riders of Death Valley, The Sea Raider, and Head Hunters of the Amazon. There are 15 of these fold out posters for titles and stars that include Marlene Dietrich, Bing Crosby, Irene Dunne, Deanna Durbin, The Bank Dick, Glamour, Back Street, When the Dalton's Rode, and others. There's even a single 11" X 14" page for a never-made production called The Monster of Zombor with Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi! Finally, there's a three-to-a-page photo booklet on upcoming titles: The Mummy's Hand, The Bank Dick, Leather Pushers, Argentine Nights, "Tropical Sinners" (pre-release title) with John Wayne and Marlene Dietrich, and more. The booklet has a mild vertical center crease, the serial book has some edge wear with corner bumps and smudges and foxing on the covers. The main campaign book has only some mild foxing on the front cover, and some light spine wear. Fine/Very Fine.
