Description

Uncle Tom's Cabin (Ackermann Quigley, ca. Early 1900s). Folded, Very Fine. Poster (21" X 28").
This poster promotes Uncle Tom's Cabin, the landmark 1852 anti-slavery novel by Harriet Beecher Stowe that powerfully exposed the brutal realities of slavery through the story of Uncle Tom, a deeply moral and enduringly hopeful enslaved man. The novel had a profound impact on public opinion in the North and is widely credited with helping to ignite the national debate that led to the Civil War. Featuring key characters such as Uncle Tom, Little Eva, and likely Eliza, the poster also includes portraits of Abraham Lincoln and Harriet Beecher Stowe at the top, underscoring the book's cultural and historical significance. An unrestored poster with bright color and a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as edge and fold wear, tiny chips, minute fold separation, creasing, and unobtrusive smudging. Although previously folded, this poster will be shipped rolled.
