    Description

The Film-Lovers' Annual (Dean & Son Ltd., 1934). British Hard Bound Annual (126 Pages, 8.5' X 10.5"). Miscellaneous.
The 1933-1934 season in Hollywood had some terrific highlights, and this British film annual has many of them displayed pictorially and with some fine articles! It has literally hundreds and hundreds of photographs of young stars on the rise, and those more established. There are full-page photos and articles on Norma Shearer, Claudette Colbert, Shirley Temple, Marlene Dietrich, Silly Symphony, James Cagney, Clive Brook, Frances Dee, Myrna Loy, Clark Gable, and many more. There are multiple photo layouts on Katherine Hepburn's Little Women, Scarlet Empress, Queen Christina, Roman Scandals, Man of Iran, and many more. An unrestored film annual with bright color and a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as slight edge wear, smudges and scuffs on the cover, or slight spine wear with a small tear. Internally the pages are in excellent condition. There are some previous owner's ink handwritten notes and his address stamp on the blank fly-leaf page at the beginning of the book. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details.
