Karl Marx, philosopher and author of Das Kapital, his Communist Manifesto co-writer Friedrich Engels, and revolutionary leader Vladimir Lenin feature as the uniting heroes that can bring justice to common people all over the world. Printed mere months after the Cuban Missile Crisis, these images of the founding fathers of Communism the gave citizens of Soviet Russia inspiration and hope during the height of the Cold War. Professional restoration has addressed edge wear with minor chips in the borders. There was creasing with chips and tears to left side, with one tear extending into Marx's face. There is a single unaddressed pinhole in the upper left of Marx's image box. Artwork by Boris Berezovsky. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
