    Description

    Shadowland (Brewster Publications, October, 1921). Magazine (80 Pages, 9.5" X 12.5"). Miscellaneous.
This rare copy is for one of the most beautifully produced "arts" magazine in the 1920s. The magazine used the very best photographers and artists of the day: A. M. Hoptmuller, Alfred Cheney Johnston, Apeda, Abbe, Edward Thayer Monroe, etc. There are color plates, and page after page of full length portrait photos of the top Broadway and film stars of the day, Mae Murray, Gloria Swanson, Gilda Grey, Marilyn Miller, etc. There are articles on film, art, and the stage, and even a beautiful nude figure study by Ichiro E.Hori. In addition there are terrific full page vintage advertisements for Stutz cards, Elgin watches, Palmolive, etc. An unrestored magazine with bright color and a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as slight edge and fold wear, or very minor tears. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Very Fine-.
