    Offered in this lot are the August 1935, and February, March, April, May, October, and December 1939 issues of the fabulous Screen Romances magazine, featuring fantastic cover pieces by artist F. Early Christy of Bette Davis in Juarez, Merle Oberon in Wuthering Heights, Mickey Rooney in Huckleberry Fin, Irene Dunne and Charles Boyer in Love Affair, Irene Dunne and Charles Boyer in Modern Cinderella, and Greta Garbo and Melvyn Douglas in Ninotchka. The zines also include all sorts of vintage advertisements, glorious photo-spreads, thrilling fictionizations, and thought-provoking articles on all your favorite Hollywood movies and stars, such as No More Ladies with Joan Crawford, Anna Karenina with Greta Garbo, Oklahoma Kid with James Cagney, Jesse James with Tyrone Power and Henry Fonda, The Little Princess with Shirley Temple, Twelve Crowded Hours with Lucille Ball and Richard Dix, Clark Gable, Babes in Arms with Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland, The Roaring Twenties with James Cagney and Priscilla Lane, Drums Along the Mohawk with Claudette Colbert and Henry Fonda, Loretta Young, Green Hell with Douglas Fairbanks Jr., and many, many more. Unrestored magazines with good color and overall very presentable appearances. They may have edge and spine wear, slight spine separations, creases, small tears, minor paper loss, smudges, some toning, and/or ink or pencil writing. The February and May 1939 issues have cellophane tape on the spine and covers. The May and December 1939 issues have noticeable touch-ups on the front covers.
