Samson Removable Rims (Robert & Cie., c. 1900). French Advertising Poster (46.5" X 62.5") Marcel Bloch Artwork.Marcel Bloch (1882-1966) was an accomplished French painter, lithographer and portraitist. Early in Bloch's career he worked in the advertising field producing posters for motorcycles, motor oil, and tires. This colorful stone litho heralds the efficiency of Samson's tire rims by proclaiming they can be removed in "40 seconds." This beautiful piece has been carefully backed on linen and restoration has rectified such issues as fold and edge wear, creases, pinholes in the border, some crossfold separation, and tears. There are some unaddressed light surface scuffs and small tears still visible. Very Fine- on Linen.
