    Photoplay & Others Lot (Photoplay, 1934). Magazines (4) (Multiple Pages, approx. 8.5" X 11"). Miscellaneous.
    Featuring two issues (September and December) from 1934 of Photoplay magazines, and a 1945 issue of Band Leaders (Band Leaders Publishing) and July, 1930 issue of Screen Romances (Dell). Photoplay magazines was one of the first magazines to embrace the public's ever increasing interest in the private lives of Hollywood celebrities. The magazine offered articles, reviews, and even a yearly film award (The Photoplay Medal of Honor), one of the first significant annual film awards. Unrestored magazines with an overall presentable appearance. They may have edge and spine wear, creases, tears, paper loss, pencil marks on the covers, slight spine separations, minor stains, and minor surface scuffs and scratches. There is paper loss on the front and back covers of Screen Romances. Cover artwork for Photoplay and Screen Romances of Dolores Del Rio, Greta Garbo, and Tyrone Power, respectively by Earl Christy, and Band Leaders of Woody Herman by Earl Elton.
