Pearblossom Highway by David Hockney (J. Paul Getty Museum, 1997). Rolled, Very Fine. Museum Poster (36" X 46"). Miscellaneous.
The J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, California purchased one of British artist David Hockney's most recognized works, Pearblossom Hwy., 11-18 April 1986 #2, (commonly referred to as just Pearblossom Highway) in 1997 for display in its gallery. The poster offered in this lot was created by the J. Paul Getty museum so patrons could take home a copy of Hockney's photo-collage interpretation of driving down an American highway. An unrestored poster with bright color and a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as slight edge wear, mild creases, small tears, subtle surface indentations, or mostly unobtrusive smudges and stains.
