    Description

Peach and Poppies by Irving Block (Art Leaders, 1979). Rolled, Very Fine. Autographed Museum Poster (30" X 24") Irving Block Artwork. Miscellaneous.
Featured is a print of the oil painting titled Peach and Poppies by painter, author, film maker and educator, Professor Irving Block. This print was released in collaboration of The Bibliographic Society at the Northridge Library at California State University where Irving Block taught. During the 1950s, Block created special effects with paintings and models for dozens of low-budget sci-fi and horror films, including Forbidden Planet (in which he is credited with the main story), Macabre, Kronos, and The Caretakers. An unrestored poster with bright color and a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as slight handling and edge wear, soft creases, or very faint smudges. The poster is signed "Irving Block." Heritage Auctions believes the signature in this lot to be authentic, but know before bidding that no Certificate of Authenticity is provided.
