Paramount Exhibitor Books (Paramount, 1924-1925 & 1925-1926). Exhibitor Books (2) (9.5" X 12.5" & 10" X 13").
This gorgeous soft cover book is for Paramount's Fall and Winter, 1924-25 season, their twelfth year in business. There are full-page color ads for DeMille's The Ten Commandments, the great Western The Covered Wagon and Rudolph Valentino in Monsieur Beaucaire. There is a beautiful full-page ad with Will Graven art for the upcoming film The Sainted Devil as well as a full-page Art Nouveau ad for Pola Negri in A Woman Scorned. Of the many other titles included are Forbidden Paradise, Feet of Clay, Broadway Butterfly, and Manhattan. Finally at the back of the book is four, full-color pages of the 24 sheets for many of the years films. The book is spectacular. The hardbound 1925 Paramount Spring Announcement book features a beautifully illustrated full spread for Harold Lloyd's For Heaven's Sake, Merian C. Cooper & Ernest B. Schoedsack's Grass, and W.C. Fields' It's the Old Army Game. This exhibitor book is filled with pages of delightful photos featuring such stars as Richard Dix, Bebe Daniels, Gloria Swanson, Douglas MacLean, Pola Negri, Wallace Beery, and such films as Tamed, Crossroads of the World, Take a Chance, Miss Brewster's Millions, That's My Baby, Volcano, Zane Grey's Desert Gold, The Vanishing American, The Peacock Parade, The Palm Beach Girl, and many, many more beautiful spreads are featured. The 1924-1925 exhibitor book has spine separation, edge wear, stains on the cover, and page corner bumps. The 1925-1926 exhibitor book has spine separation and smudges on a few pages. Fine+.
