Leonetto Cappiello was born in Italy, but built his career as a graphic designer in Paris where he left a lasting impression on the advertising business. Cappiello not only created visually pleasing illustrations, but also employed clever use of imagery to advertise products and communicate their selling points without necessarily having to use words. This particular poster advertises a quick-drying paint, which is highlighted with a lady in white walking down stairs that has been painted moments before. Though no touchup has been applied, this poster is linen-backed. Signs of handling include small tears, mild creases, as well as unobtrusive stains and smudges. There are a few places where the poster is separating from the linen. The poster has a few printing irregularities in the borders, especially along the left edge.
