    Description

National Day of Civic Hacking Facebook Poster (Facebook, 2013). Screen Print Poster (18" X 26").
With more than 1.5 billion active monthly users, social networking site Facebook has changed the way in which much of the world interacts. With so many regular users, the company has employed a workforce of nearly 13,000 employees. One such employee is Ben Barry, a designer who worked in the marketing department for two years prior to setting up, along with co-worker Everett Katigbak, an on-site screen printing studio referred to as the Analog Research Lab for the creation of posters used within the company. These hand-screened posters were printed in runs of up to 100, and line the walls of the company's more than 30 global offices. Heritage is proud to offer, for the first time, some of the intriguing posters from Facebook's Analog Research Lab, many of which have never been seen outside of the Facebook offices. Featured is a screen print promoting the National Day of Civic Hacking, described as and event to "bring together citizens, software developers, and entrepreneurs from all over the nation to collaboratively create, build, and invent new solutions using publicly-released data, code and technology to solve challenges relevant to our neighborhoods, our cities, our states and our country." The print brilliantly captures the idea of creation for the country, as it showcases designs utilizing the American Flag. Mint.
