Description
Mysteries of Paris (Phocea Film, 1922). Very Fine+ on Linen. Austrian A00 (37.5" X 49.5"). Dryden Artwork.A French silent film serial directed by Charles Burguet and adapted from the novel by Eugène Sue. Produced by Phocea Film, it was released as a twelve-episode serial in 1922. The story follows Rodolphe, a prince disguised as a working-class man, as he fights for social justice in 19th-century Paris. This fantastic poster with amazing artwork by Dryden is a true knockout. Backed to linen, minor touch-up has addressed slight wear at some fold lines, but is otherwise unblemished. There is a faint scuff in the green area of the billing block at right, and a small smudge in the right border. The poster presents beautifully and is just amazing.
