    Description

Modern Screen (Dell Publishing, June 1938). Magazine (116 Pages, 8.5" X 11.5"). Miscellaneous.
This issue features a stunning portrait of Greta Garbo and Leopold Stokowski on the cover by Earl Christy. The magazine is filled with industry news, Hollywood gossip, fashion tips, and film ads, including a two page ad for Robin Hood. Fantastic photos throughout the magazine with full page portraits of Margaret Sullivan, Ray Milland, Olivia de Havilland, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Greta Garbo, and many more. It has great vintage advertisements with some in color, such as Lucky Strike, Beech-Nut Gum, and Lander's Blended Flower Talcs. An unrestored magazine with good color and an overall very presentable appearance. It may have tears, spine and edge wear, slight paper loss at the spine, minor stains, and/or some cover separation. Wrinkling with light stains along the bottom edge of the magazine. Sticker remnants and a few pencil marks on the front cover. The crossword has been started in pencil on page 12. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Fine+.
