    Description

    MGM Studio News Magazines (MGM, 1939-1940). Magazines (2) (8-12 Pages, 10" X 13.75"). Miscellaneous.
Featured are September 1939 and May 1940 issues of MGM's exhibitor magazine (the precursor to the more lavish Lion's Roar of the 1940s), which offers studio news, stories and photos on stars and films such as Greta Garbo in Ninotchka, Spencer Tracy in Edison, the Man, Clark Gable and Myrna Loy, Joan Crawford, Katharine Hepburn, Nelson Eddy in Balalaika, Lana Turner in Dancing Co-Ed, Judy Garland, and many more. Unrestored magazines that display signs of use. May include light edge and spine wear, subtle creases, unobtrusive stains and/or surface paper lifts, thin dust shadows, faint foxing, small tears, or minor paper loss. The May 1940 issue shows some printing irregularities in the interior text areas. Please see full-color, enlargeable images above for more details. Overall Grade: Fine/Very Fine.
