    Description

Marilyn Monroe in Brief & Other Lot (Mutual Magazine Corp., 1954). Magazines (2) (132 Pages, 5.5" X 7.75"). Miscellaneous.
Offered here is a vintage copy of the June 1954 issue of Brief magazine, which features a cover story and candid photos of the one and only Marilyn Monroe busy at work in Canada on her new film, River of No Return from director Otto Preminger, and co-starring the inimitable Robert Mitchum. The piece details a tribulation which occurred during filming, wherein Monroe fell into the river and injured her ankle. Also included is a May 1954 issue of Eye: People and Pictures magazine (Mutual Magazine Corp.), with Mara Corday on the cover and pieces on the wonderful Rita Moreno and Irish McCalla. Pin-up photography, true crime stories, and alligator wrestling also receive a good deal of coverage in each zine. Unrestored magazines with bright color and clean overall appearances. They may show general signs of use, such as slight edge and spine wear, minor spine separation, light creases, faint smudges, unobtrusive stains, weak page toning, or very small tears. Please see full-color, enlargeable images above for more details. Folded, Overall Grade: Very Fine.
