Description

Mabel Normand (Keystone - Wesfilm House, c. 1910s). Stock British One Sheet (30" X 40"). Miscellaneous.
Mabel Normand began her career in the public eye as a teenager, modeling for artists and photographers. She began making films in 1910 and soon fell in love with producer/director/actor Mack Sennett. It was then that her career rapidly ascended with his direction at Keystone Studios. She made over 200 films, often writing and directing as well. By 1927 her popularity waned, but she is remembered for her hugely successful comedies, in which she often co-starred with Charlie Chaplin and Fatty Arbuckle. A unrestored, flat folded, stone litho poster with good color and an overall very presentable appearance. It may have edge and fold wear, slight fold separations, creases, tears, chips, and smudges. There is tape stain bleedthrough in the borders where there was once cellophane tape in the borders. The poster has archival tape on the verso of a tear from the lower border to Normand's elbow, as well as on the verso of paper loss and tearing in the upper right corner. This poster has no vertical folds. Please see full-color, enlargeable image above for more details. Flat Folded, Fine-.
