Offered here is a captivating collection of correspondence and photographs connected to some of France's most iconic artistic figures. The lot includes three handwritten letters by Jean Cocteau, with one particularly enchanting example featuring a whimsical hand-drawn illustration integrated into the text-created on the reverse side of a French menu, a delightful glimpse into Cocteau's spontaneous creativity and flair for the unexpected.

Also included are two black-and-white signed photographs: one by Jean Marais, Cocteau's longtime muse and one of French cinema's most magnetic performers, and another by Maria Casarès, the celebrated actress whose commanding presence left an indelible mark on French stage and screen.
