Description

Columbia Exhibitor's Book (Columbia, 1934). Exhibitor's Book (11.25" x 14.25"). What a great mix of early 30s film genres in this fascinating Columbia Exhibitor's Book. Cartoons are represented by colorful spreads on "Scrappy" and "Krazy Kat", which are almost impossible to find in original material format. Terrific western images of Tim McCoy, exotic images of a Harlowesque beauty in "White Lies" and "Private Property", and the best image we've seen of a young Frank Capra. An incredible spread on "Broadway Bill" with Myrna Loy, and wonderful spreads on Edward G. Robinson and a young Howard Hawks. 84 pages of color. The only regrets are one of the two pages from Karloff's "Black Room" is missing, and a fifth of the Claudette Colbert page is missing, but it does not extend into her artwork. There are scratches on the back surface throughout, and the lower right corner of the cover has edge wear.
