    Description

Colonel Tim McCoy Circus Poster (Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey, c.1935). Folded, Fine/Very Fine. Poster (12" X 56").
Following a successful film career, movie cowboy Tim McCoy received an offer that he couldn't refuse. Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus signed McCoy to an exclusive performance contract. Appearing as Colonel Tim McCoy, the Western star would tour with the company from late 1935 through 1937. After his stint with Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey, McCoy left to begin his own Wild West show. The "Tim McCoy Wild West Show" opened at Soldier Field in Chicago in April, 1938 and went bankrupt about a month later after a performance in Washington D.C. Signs of use include edge and fold wear, slight fold separations, and small tears. There is a minor paper lift in the lower border, as well as some mild creases. The bottom border has some remnants of a partially removed snipe. Folded, Fine/Very Fine.
