College Humor Magazine (Collegiate World Publishing, Jan., and Feb., 1929). College Humor Magazines (2) (Multiple Pages) (8.75" X 11.25"). Miscellaneous.
This lot features two issues of one the best magazines ever put together for collegians. The covers are both by one of the top illustrators in the 1920 and 1930s, Rolf Armstrong. Many major stars from Greta Garbo to Boris Karloff sat for him. His calendars, magazine covers, and pinups are collected worldwide. Great vintage ads and many photos of the college sports figures of the day, as well as works of fiction and articles on college life. Unrestored magazines with good color and an overall very presentable appearance. The January issue is missing the back cover and has some tears and small chips in the top corners of pages 97-130. The front cover has some staining in the top left, some light edge wear and surface crinkles. The February issue has some small dust shadow in the right border of the front cover, and some small scratches and dings in the image on the back cover. There is some faint water staining in the top right of some pages. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Fine+.
