    Description

    Betty Grable (Paramount, 1936). Pinup Photo (8.3" X 12").
Displaying the legs that would eventually make her one of the most celebrated pinup girls of WWII, Betty Grable appears as a cheerleader in this 1936 comedy. The photo shows very minor crimps within the image and the borders have been trimmed off. The right side displays a slight curve indicating that the trim was done by hand. There is a one inch tear in the right side and pinholes in the upper corners. The verso displays a rubber ink stamp stating, "Credit will be appreciated. Paramount Photo by Eugene Robert Richee." There is also a ink stamp date of Dec 24, 1935. And the attached snipe (which is partially torn) states, "what football team wouldn't go out and do or die for dear old Alma Mater with a cheer leader like Betty Grable to inspire them? Betty goes collegiate in Paramount's "Collegiate" along with Joe Penner, Jack Oakie, Ned Sparks, Frances Langford and Lynne Overman." Vintage silver gelatin, single weight, glossy photo. Fine-.
