Description
Academy Membership Card - 1935. Letter with Resume' (8.5" X 11") and AMPAS Card Plus (5) Black and White Unpublished Photos (8" X 10"). Offered in this lot is the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Letter to Shelby Chapman from Gordon Mitchell, Manager of Academy's Technical Bureau. Included is Mr. Shelby's Academy card dated 1935. Also included is a copy of Mr. Shelby's resume' listing all of his credits since moving to Hollywood. This lot also includes 5 unpublished photos of Chapman, two on the set of "The Lady Lies" with Claudette Colbert and Walter Huston; one photo of Chapman on the set of "The White Parade" with Loretta Young; one photo of Chapman with Harpo Marx on the set of "Cocoanuts;" and one photo of Chapman with director Joseph (Cocoanuts) Santley and his wife Ivy Sawyer, in costume on the set of Santley's short film "Book of Lovers."
