Merry Go Round (Universal, 1923). Folded, Very Fine. Swedish One Sheet (27.5" X 39.5") Eric Rohman Artwork.
Although Rupert Julian is listed as the director of this early drama, it was Erich von Stroheim who brought this story to life, until his disagreements with the heads of Universal led to executive Irving Thalberg firing the headstrong director. Mary Philbin stars as the girl in the center of the events of the merry-go-round of life. She plays a carnival organ grinder who falls in love with Norman Kerry whom she believes is a salesman, but who is really Count Franz Maximilian von Hohenegg, therefore too far above her lowly station. This Swedish one sheet makes its Heritage debut, and displays some edge wear, light creases, small tears, as well as a moderate tear extending from the left border slightly into the background braced with archival tape on the verso. Folded, Very Fine.

    Estimate: $800 - $1,600.
