Description

Merrie Melodies (Warner Brothers, 1946). Stock One Sheet (27" X 41"). "The Great Piggy Bank Robbery."
Warner Brothers animation department had two very successful series of shorts: the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons. This delightful stock one sheet features many of the cast of characters from the series, and an original attached snipe for The Great Piggy Bank Robbery. In this animated short, Daffy Duck knocks himself unconscious and dreams he's Duck Twacy, famous detective, trying to solve the case of the missing piggy banks. Porky Pig has a non-speaking cameo role, and Daffy encounters such sordid criminals as Pickle Puss, Eighty-Eight Teeth and Neon Noodle. Light touch up to pinholes in the top border, a chip in the right corner and border, and fold wear, has been applied with fantastic results. Fresh color and fine condition make this a hard to resist collectible for animation lovers. Very Fine- on Linen.
