Description

Meet Me in St. Louis (MGM, 1944). Title Lobby Card and Lobby Cards (2) (11" X 14").
The 1904 World's Fair is the setting for this timeless musical extravaganza, one of Judy Garland's finest films. She shares the screen with Margaret O'Brien, Mary Astor, Leon Ames, and Marjorie Main. Based on the novel by Sally Benson, the picture is directed by Vincente Minnelli, who was soon to become Garland's fourth husband. This grouping includes not only the title card but the "Under the Bamboo Tree" lobby as well as the portrait card, three of the best from the set. The title card has some wear to the upper left border and some border soiling. There is brown paper tape on the verso of two edges as is the case with the dance card. The dance card also has a pinhole in the right side of image as well as upper left corner with slight soiling. The portrait card has slight creasing in the lower left and a small tear in the left and right border. Fine/Very Fine.
