    Description

Marilyn Monroe Kodachrome Slides by David Conover and Darlene Hammond. (1945-1953 ). Very Fine+. Color Transparencies (2" x 2").
This incredible lot of very early photos of Marilyn Monroe are from photographer David Conover. In 1945 Conover was sent by his commanding officer Ronald Reagan to the Radio Plane Company to take pics of women working in the war production factories. Instantly he was taken by the beauty of 19 year old Norma Jeane Dougherty. Over the following two weeks, Conover photographed Marilyn in several sessions, of which 6 of these photos are offered here. After they reunited in 1953, he also took shots of her with other Hollywood stars including Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, and Ronald Reagan. One slide of Marilyn with Marlon Brando is by photographer Darlene Hammond. All of the slides offered here are in virtually unused condition with only minor wear to the corners. These slides are sold purely as collectors items and no rights are implied.

    Estimate: $400 - $800.
