Man Made Monster (Universal, 1941). Three Sheet (40.25" X 79.75").
Based on the story The Electric Man, this project originally began in 1936 as a potential Boris Karloff/ Bela Lugosi vehicle, but was ultimately shelved when the studio deemed it to similar to another movie the duo had made that same year, The Invisible Ray. Universal revived the picture five years later, re-written by George Waggoner (under the pen name "Joseph West") with a working title of The Human Robot. Little did anyone know that this would be the beginning of a Hollywood legend. It was Lon Chaney Jr's first ever horror film, starring as a experiment gone wrong alongside horror veteran Lionel Atwill. This ghoulish three sheet has some touchup to the folds, pinholes in the borders, and small tears. The folds have some mild fold wear still apparent. There are some unaddressed tears and small bits of paper loss in the borders, and the poster has a slight trim along the right and left borders. Fine+ on Linen.

    Estimate: $800 - $1,600.
