Orson Welles' adaptation of William Shakespeare's classic play is one of the most atmospheric and moody versions every committed to film. The picture features terrific performances by Welles in the title role, as well as Jeanette Nolan as Lady Macbeth. A complete lobby card set from the film is a rather significant find. Hinting at the macabre in store for audiences, the title card features the bluish-tinted floating heads of the cast members against an ominously dark background (light toning and a staple hole in the right border). One scene card has a small stain in the bottom right corner, and several cards have a very light crease on the right side. Very Fine+.
