    Description

    Love Me Tender (20th Century Fox, 1956). British Quad (30" X 40").
Elvis Presley had just become a major recording artist when he was cast in this, his first film. The story was actually about Richard Egan's character Vance Reno, but due to Elvis' strong personality and rising fame, the studio quickly tailored all of the posters and ad campaign to make it appear that Elvis was the star. It worked as the film's production budget was recouped in the first three days of the film's release. This British quad features art completely different from any of the posters used in the US market, with a spectacular image of the King in full rock and roll mode. The piece shows a very slight crease to the tip of the lower right corner and another in the right edge, and a tiny bit of separation at the center point. There is a natural wrinkle in the paper in the upper right that was in the manufacture of the paper, not damage caused at a later date. Very Fine/Near Mint.
