Description

    Lorna (Eve Productions, 1964). One Sheet (28" X 42") Day-Glo Pink Style.
Russ Meyer, known primarily for his "nudie" films, made his first attempt at serious film making with Lorna. Lorna Maitland AKA Barbara Popejoy, was a dancer in Las Vegas when she answered an ad in Daily Variety placed by Meyer for the lead role. Maitland (Popejoy) was 20, weighed 135 pounds and measured 42D-25-36 and was one of 132 actresses who applied. During the first day of shooting, in September 1963, Meyer hired Maitland to replace his initial choice, whom he considered too small chested. This heavy stock poster has pinholes, a stain in the upper border, small tears in the borders, a partial fold in the lower border, and an additional fold near the top border. Three style one sheets were released for the film and this style is undoubtedly the rarest as Heritage has only auctioned one copy prior to this one. Fine/Very Fine.
