    Description

    Lolita (Dear, 1962). Fine+ on Linen. Italian 2 - Fogli (39.5" X 55") Pink Style.
In translating the controversial Lolita to the big screen, it was necessary to change the title character from 12 to 15 years old; director Stanley Kubrick also toned down the more sensual aspects of the story in favor of farce. James Mason, as disturbed Professor Humbert Humbert, is infatuated with 15-year-old nymphet Lolita (Sue Lyon), whose flighty mother is wonderfully played by Shelly Winters. According to our Italian sources, very few copies of the pink style two fogli were printed and immediately withdrawn due to the suggestive color. Offered at Heritage only once before, this pink style poster was replaced by the studio with a blue printing, which is also a very scarce poster. Professional touchup has been applied to the folds, pinholes, small chips and tears, as well as surface paper loss in the left background. There are some pinholes and stains that are still visible.

    Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
