DescriptionLeave Her to Heaven (20th Century Fox, 1945). Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41") Style A.
Based on the novel of the same name by Ben Ames Williams, Leave Her to Heaven was a hit upon its release, becoming the highest grossing film released in the 1940s by 20th Century Fox. The movie stars Gene Tierney as a woman whose obsessive love for her husband (Cornel Wilde) quickly begins to harm the people around them. Tierney and Wilde can be seen embracing on this wonderful stone litho poster which has been backed on linen. Restoration has addressed edge and fold wear, slight fold separations, pinholes, and small chips. There was a scuff and tear towards the the image of Gene Tierney's mouth and chin which has also been addressed by restoration. The poster displays very well, with only a few smudges still visible.
Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
