Lawrence of Arabia (Columbia, 1962). Very Fine on Linen. Three Sheet (41.5" X 79").
So scarce that Heritage has had only one other copy before now, this elusive three sheet comes from one of the greatest historical epics ever to come out of Hollywood. The role of writer T.E. Lawrence became synonymous with actor Peter O'Toole, who skillfully plays a British military officer on the brink of losing his sense of allegiance and identity. Exceptional performances by costars Alec Guinness, Omar Sharif and Anthony Quinn, along with unparalleled cinematography, sets, and music, earned this film seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director for David Lean. Professionally restored, this poster no longer shows slight fold wear and separations, pinholes, mild creases, or a couple of minor tears. Still visible are a few small stains in the folds. The borders and folds have been airbrushed, as has an ink censorship stamp in the top right corner.

    Estimate: $4,000 - $8,000.
