DescriptionLawrence of Arabia (Columbia, 1962). Very Fine. Lobby Card Set of 8 (11" X 14").
Based on T. E. Lawrence's book, The Seven Pillars of Wisdom, this incredible motion picture was nominated for eighteen Oscars and won seven, including Best Director (David Lean), Best Score (Maurice Jarre), and Best Picture. An epic depiction of the revolt of the Arabs against the Ottoman empire during WWI, it established Peter O'Toole as a major star in the lead role of Lawrence. This wonderful and complete set has slight edge wear, light creases, small dust shadows, and faint unobtrusive stains. The title card has touchup to these issues in the yellow and white backgrounds, as well as in the title. Very Fine.
Estimate: $400 - $800.
