    Description

Ladies They Talk About (Warner Brothers, 1933). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Barbara Stanwyck was completely in her element in this tough-talkin,' pre-Code, Warner Brothers prison drama made in the Great Depression. Shotguns, car chases, prison breakouts and violent women make this a classic of the gangster genre. And what better artist to illustrate the lovely Ms. Stanwyck than young Peruvian artist Alberto Vargas, at the start of his career? This fabulous poster with bold art-deco typeface is one that all well conceived poster collections should feature. Unbacked with minimal restoration to fold wear, this one sheet is in the best condition of the handful that we know are in existence. Very Fine-.
