King of the Rodeo (Universal, 1929). Very Fine+ on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41").
Among the biggest of silent cowboy stars, Hoot Gibson featured in dozens upon dozens of Westerns in the 1910s and 1920s, becoming a steady moneymaker for early movie studios. An authentic cowboy from the beginning, Gibson got his start riding bunking broncos in California rodeos, eventually gaining the notice of such motion picture studios as Universal. A stunning poster with incredible colors, this standout one sheet has an eye-catching graphic unusual for the Western genre, sure to be of interest to any collector. Paper from this Western adventure is exceedingly difficult to find, as we at Heritage have only offered one other one sheet for the film nearly fifteen years ago. Better yet, the piece is in astounding condition, receiving only light touchup to minor fold wear. Very Fine+ on Linen.

    Estimate: $4,000 - $8,000.
